Agnes Terra

Agnes Dolores Terra passed away peacefully at her home in Modesto on July 12, 2017 at the age of 93.  Agnes was born on June 22, 1924 in Modesto to Joe and Maria Corriea.  She has been a resident of Modesto her entire life.

Agnes was a past officer for the S.P.R.S.I and a former member of the U.P.P.E.C.  She was a very active parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Parish and volunteered many hours to the church and school.  She was an excellent cook and would always enjoy preparing meals for her family.  She enjoyed camping and word searches but above all else, she loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Agnes will be remembered as a wonderful mother, vovo and friend and will be missed forever.

Agnes leaves behind her son, John Terra (Beverly “Dolly”) and her daughter, Diane Gisler (Martin), her grandchildren; Ron Terra (Leslie), Randy Terra (Bernadine) Marty Gisler (Jessica), Tara Gisler (John J), John Gisler (Rikki) and Michael Terra (Megan) along with 7 great grandchildren.  Agnes is preceded in death by her sons, Joe Terra (Diana) and Stanley Terra and her sister Hilda Fialho.

Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Terra family.  A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, July 23 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with a vigil/rosary service beginning at 6 at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.  A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, July 24 at 11:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church located at 709 J Street in Modesto followed by interment at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.  Please consider donations in Agnes’ memory to Community Hospice.
