David Cline

David Charles Cline passed away on October 13, 2017 at the age of 83 years.  He was a lifelong resident of Escalon.  David graduated from Escalon High School in 1952 and married Gloria Hunt in 1956.  He served in the US Army, was a truck driver and a long time rice farmer.  Dad loved to fish and watch his western movies. 

David is survived by his daughters, Judy Willadsen and Cathi Merritt (Jerry) both of Escalon, his grandchildren, Wendy (Jeff), Jerry, Sarah, Melissa, Kathryn, Terry and DJ along with 12 great grandchildren.  David is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria, his son, David, Jr. and his daughter, Shirley.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel.  A visitation is scheduled for Friday, October 27 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Deegan Chapel; 1441 San Joaquin Street in Escalon.  A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, October 28 at 1:00 PM also at Deegan Chapel, followed by interment at Burwood Cemetery.  David’s daughters would like to thank Community Hospice for their services and a special thank you to his nurses, Wendy and Janell for their kindness during his time of need.
