I remember all the Albertonis in high school. Although we never became close friends, I knew who Fred was because he always had a lot of people around him because he was so nice and popular. And that smile! He always had a beautiful smile on his face. To Claudia: I am so deeply sorry for your loss. We shouldn't have to say good-bye to our children but God has plans for him in heaven. I wish I could attend the funeral and pay my respects in person. I hope to see you soon, though.

I remember coach Bianci positioning Fred from his regular short stop position to about 10 feet from home plate to cover home in case Hasley threw a wild pitch or a passed ball he would take throw from catcher if they tried to score! He was crazy like that didn't scare him one bit! But my favorite memory was the time I told my mom I was spending the night at Fred's and he told his mom he was staying at my house! Wow did that backfire....both our moms showed up behind K&M liquors, took our beer and grounded both of US!, he was a good friend and even a better person and will be missed!!

I'll always remember Fred playing ss 10 ft in front of home plate in case Hasley threw a wild pitch he would then cover home in case runner tried to score! I also remember when my mom Irene and Fred's mom Claudia caught me and Fred behind the liquor store when we each said we were spending the night at each other's house and took our case of beer!! Dear Albertoni Family~
My heart goes out to all of you. I have the fondest memories of Fred. He was a good man. Fred always, always had a smile on his face. I asked Fred many times to help me with a project at my house and he was always willing to help out. I knew I could count on him, not only to help me but his work was quality work, as we all know.
Fred made this world a better place and I am proud to say I knew him and he was my friend. He will be missed greatly by all of those who had the opportunity to know him.
