Fulvia Bettinzoli

Fulvia Bettinzoli passed away peacefully on September 19 in Merced at the age of 85.  Fulvia was born on April 9, 1932 in Agnosine, Italy.  She immigrated to Tracy in 1951 and then settled in Escalon in 1966, where she has been a resident ever since. 

Fulvia was an active parishioner at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Escalon and was a member of the Dante Club and ICF.  She loved to go fishing, cook for her family and go hiking to pick mushrooms.  She was an animal lover that had all kinds of pets throughout her life. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother that will be deeply missed.

Fulvia leaves behind her children, Marisa Nepote (Dennis) and Alvin Bettinzoli (Yolanda), her grandchildren, Jennifer Nepote, John Paul Nepote, Alyssa Bettinzoli and Alivia Bettinzoli along with one great grandson, Erik Angel.  Fulvia also leaves behind one sister and her brother in law, Guido Bettinzoli.  Fulvia is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, John Bettinzoli.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapels.  A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, September 26 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Deegan Chapel in Escalon.  A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, September 27 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Escalon.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Fulvia’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
