It was an honor to photograph Ryan for the Healing project. He was obviously such a beautiful soul, and I was moved by his presence. I am so sorry for your loss. No words can express how sad I am for you.

Our hearts ache deeply for the loss of your precious Ryan. We rejoice knowing his body is whole, and he can now run free and wildly as a child should. We admire his tenacity and perseverance through the many medical tribulations he faced. He was rarely without a smile, and always seemed grateful despite his difficult journey.

Knights Ferry School was happy to welcome him to our “safe haven” little school on the hill. Our students thought so highly of Ryan, having great regard for him and his comfort. Many times my boys would talk about Ryan and how they wanted to make sure he was included and happy. We thank you for sharing him with us. He will long be remembered and admired. As will you, for your incredible love and devotion to your boy. May you be wrapped tightly in love and prayers.

Kym Cassaretto and family
