Wilma Marie Dykhouse

Wilma Marie Dykhouse, 84, entered into rest on December 11, 2017 in Ripon, California. She was born on May 2, 1933 in Paterson, New Jersey, where she lived most of her life. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years, Garret J. Dykhouse. Wilma will be missed by her children Ken & Cheri Dykhouse of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Randy & Janet Engel of Salida, California, and her grandchildren Christian & Kara Chan, Erin Dykhouse , Tony Dykhouse and Deshawn Dykhouse all of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Greg & Janelle Mulder of Ripon,  Kelly Engel of Salida, and her only great grandson, Carter Chan.

Wilma was born into a musical family and she herself was very musically talented. Wilma was married to her husband, Garret for 44 years and they were involved with music, church and their children. Along with her music, Wilma was also an avid reader and a passionate fan of her children’s and grandchildren’s sports. Wilma worked as a dietary supervisor at a nursing home for 20 years. She loved working with the residents. She also enjoyed family vacations at the Jersey Shore. Wilma moved to Ripon in 2007 and made many dear friends during her time here.  

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11am at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church in Ripon. Donations may be made to Ripon Christian Schools. For condolences to the family, please visit her online guestbook at www.deeganfuneralchapels.com
