Annie Heida, 91, passed away, January 22 at Bethany Home in Ripon.
Annie was born on December 18, 1927 in Artesia, CA to Aart and Tena Gorzeman. After graduating from Excelsior High School, she worked for a bank, and then for her dad at his hay company.
On April 15, 1948, she married Sam Heida and soon after, they started a dairy with Annie’s brother, Hank, in Corona, California. Sam & Annie had 3 sons, Tom, Jim & Don. Annie loved the Lord deeply. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, going to Women’s Bible Study, traveling in their motor home with friends, watching the SF Giants and knitting slippers for everyone in the family each year.
In 2001 Sam & Annie moved to Ripon. They joined Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon where they were members until their deaths.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Sam, son, Jim Heida, brother, Hank Gorzeman, great-grandson, Boone Ciocca, and grandson-in-law Paul Ciocca,
She is survived by her son, Tom (Mary) of Buhl, Idaho, daughter-in-law, Sheri Heida of Ripon, son, Don (Alice) of Nampa, Idaho, 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be Wednesday, January 30 at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, at 11:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon.
