Arthur Sipma Jr.

Arthur (Art) Sipma Jr. passed away on May 15, 2023 at the age of 84.  Art was born in French Camp, California on December 12, 1938 to Arthur and Jennie Sipma.  He had one sister, Hilda.  He married the love of his life, Virginia, in 1961. He lived in Ripon/Manteca most of his life except for when he was in the Army and stationed in Washington. He loved his Lord and Savior with all his heart. He was a member of First Church all his life where he served as a deacon and an elder.  Art will be remembered for his kindness and love of the outdoors, growing almonds, gardening and fishing.  He loved tending to his yard and the flower beds at church.  He loved delivering produce to all his family and friends.  He was a charter member on the board of the Sierra Salem Christian Homes, where his daughter Tracy resides. Art was preceded in death by Virginia, his wife of 57 years and their son, Danny Sipma and his parents and his sister Hilda Vegas. He leaves behind his children:  Sherry (Mike) Gaines,  Allen (Janis) Sipma and Tracy Sipma.  His grandchildren:  Jennifer (Erec) De Vost), Melissa (Ryan) Marques, Brandon (Kelli) Jenkins, Rebeka (Eugene) Aquino, Makayla Sipma and Vance Sipma.  And five great-grandchildren.   

Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Sipma family. A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, May 22 at 10 AM at Ripon Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM at First Church, 305 Boesch Drive in Ripon.
