Cesar Barbosa

Cesar Barbosa passed away peacefully on April 14, 2019 in Modesto at the age of 78.  Cesar was born on July 5th, 1940 to Rogelio and Josefina Barbosa in Mexico.  He has been a resident of Riverbank for the past 30 years.

 Cesar had a dedicated work ethic, he worked hard his entire life.  He had a green thumb and could get anything to grow.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor and his loving personality.  Above all else, Cesar loved his family.  He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather that will be deeply missed.

Cesar leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Ofelia Barbosa, his mother, Josefina Reyes and step father Simon Reyes, his children, Gilberto Barbosa (Claudia), Zulema Barbosa (Reynol Garcia) and Noemi Barbosa (James Ruffin), along with his grandchildren, Rogelio Delfin, Reynol Garcia and Sophia Bella Barbosa and his sister, Yolanda Hinojosa.  Cesar also leaves behind children, Rogelio Barbosa, Josefina Barbosa, Luis Barbosa and Angel Barbosa.

Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Barbosa family.  A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 23 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM with a vigil service to begin at 6 Pm at Deegan Chapel in Escalon.  A catholic chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 at 1:00 PM also at Deegan Chapel in Escalon followed by committal at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
