Charles Michael Harris

Charles Michael Harris entered into rest on May 11, 2018. He was born on September 18, 1944, in Modesto, California to his parents Charles and Ann Harris. Charles leaves behind his loving wife of 52 ½ years, Kathleen Harris, his children Michele, Cherie and Michael, and several close friends and extended family members. He will be missed greatly.

Charles and Kathleen were high school sweethearts. Their first date was a double date- he was with another girl and she was with another guy. Their next date was with each other. They never dated anyone else after that. They were married November 20, 1965. They enjoyed doing most everything together, from fishing and camping, to raising the kids, to travelling. After the kids were raised, they traveled to close by states. For their 25th anniversary, the kids gave them a Caribbean cruise. That cruise sparked a love to travel and see the world. Many times they would take a cruise to an area they were interested in, check it out and go back for a land trip. They were fortunate to be able to see 38 different countries at least once. Many times, they would run into someone who knew Charles whether it was in Beijing, China or on a ferry from St. Thomas to St. John (in the Caribbean).

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018,  at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church at 10am, 19399 CA-120 in Ripon, followed by burial at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery.
