Charles Bernace Roberson, Jr.

Charles Bernace Roberson, Jr. passed away April 10, 2021 at Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. Charles, Jr. was born to Charles, Sr. and Bessie Roberson on November 16, 1945 in Drumright, Oklahoma, but the family soon moved to Yale, Oklahoma. Chuck went to Hillside Elementary School where his mother Bessie was a teacher. He graduated form Yale High School in Yale, Oklahoma. He married his High School Sweetheart, Paulette Moffeit in 1966. They were married 55 years. They moved to California and ended up living in Escalon. Both were employed by the Riverbank Elementary School District. Mr. Roberson taught Junior High for 22 years. Mr. Roberson retired from teaching and began writing novels with the completion of four of them. He used the pseudonym of Bernace Charles to publish them.

Preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Mr. Roberson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Paulette; his children, Charles Bernace Roberson III, Kristen Roberson; his sister, Coene (Roberson) Enright, numerous nieces and nephews, many loving relatives and great friends. Chuck was a gentleman, loving son, passionate husband, caring father, a devout Christian and a scholar. A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 1511 Catherine Ave., Escalon, Ca 95320.
