Davell Cleo Dickens peacefully passed away February 4, 2021 in Oakdale, California at the age of 72. Davell was born May 22, 1948 to Cleo and Mildred Dickens in Newton County, Missouri. Davell’s family moved out to California when he was just an infant and was a lifelong resident of Valley Home/Oakdale until his passing. Throughout High School, Davell was involved in many sports. As an adult he enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, watching old Western movies and enjoying a beer with good friends. After retirement he looked forward to his regular visits to the Cow Track. Davell was a die-hard Pittsburg Steelers and San Francisco Giants Fan. He was a prankster and told many tall tales. He will be remembered for his jokes and imagination.
Davell is survived by his children; Leandra Spence of Oakdale, Gregory Dickens of Oakdale and Katherine Dickens of Oakdale, grandchildren; Jaycee Spence, Kenzie Spence and Levi Dickens. He was preceded in death by his brother, Stevie Dickens.
