Donald Joe Shearer

Donald Joe Shearer peacefully passed away November 2, 2021 with his loving family by his side. Don was born July 30, 1950 to Delbert and Oleta Shearer. Don lived a passionate life, loving his family deeply. He lived most of his life in the Central Valley of California, and a few years in Oklahoma where his parents were born. He cherished his Choctaw heritage and was a tribal member.
Don was an avid sports fan; SF 49ers, SF Giants and Golden State Warriors all the way, and rarely missed a game if they were on TV. He loved fishing, playing Golf, and was even on a bowling league with his son back in the day. He was a lover of music and had a list of attended concerts that would make most people jealous; Jimi, Janis, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin to name a few.
He loved sitting in his backyard, catching the sun rays and watching the birds. He also loved to argue, and to know him was to love him. He was the “King of flannels.” Oh, and he hated onions (no cilantro, no cebollas).
Don is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Gail; his children, Erica McCulloch, Erin Shearer and Jason Shearer all of Escalon; he is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Alexandra, Raven, Ian, Tommie, Remy, Dean, Dillan and Jade.
