Dorothy Louise Kroll

Dorothy Kroll, 89, of Ripon, CA, formerly of Waukegan, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2019 surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was born on June 18, 1930 in North Chicago, Illinois to the late John and Dorothy Otis.  On January 14, 1950, she married John “Jack” Kroll.  Together they raised seven children, Jack, Jim, Jill, Joyce, Bob, Bill and Karen.  Dorothy and Jack retired to Prescott, Arizona where they lived on a golf course and played golf regularly.

Dorothy had a passion for gardening and everyone who knew her knew that.  People would come by her home just to look at her flower garden.  Everything she touched flourished.  She also liked to work puzzles and play games.  In Ripon she converted her garage into an extra room and would always have a puzzle started on the table out there. She would also get together with friends and family to play games and eat ice cream.  Her social life was very important to her and one of the ways she easily connected with others was through her little dog Honey.   She even started a dog walking group in her community.

She was known for her kind heart, her beautiful smile and her positive attitude.  She knew how to live and enjoy life and her motto was to eat dessert first.  She was an incredible woman and left behind a beautiful legacy through her family.

Dorothy was very proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments.  She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and wonderful grandmother.  She will be missed by all that knew her.
