Earnest Ray Harvey

Earnest “Earnie” Ray Harvey, 75, peacefully passed away March 15, 2023 in Modesto, CA with his loving family by his side. He was born April 28, 1947 in Lawton, Oklahoma to parents Jack and Helen Harvey. Earnie was a Vietnam Veteran that served from 1966-68. After returning home, he worked as a journeyman plumber for over 40 years. In his younger years, he was an active outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing, and fishing. He was a humble man that treasured his family, his friends, and was a proud Papa to his two grandchildren.

Earnie is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Cohagan) Harvey; daughter, Andrea (Adam) Austin and grandchildren, Hunter and Emalee Austin all of Modesto. He is preceded in death by his son, Eric Ray Harvey; sister, Jackie Johns and parents, Jack and Helen Harvey. The family would like to give a special thank you to the CCU nurses, doctors and staff at DMC for taking such great care of Earnie and his family. Deegan Funeral Chapel is honored to serve the Harvey family. At this time, services will be held at a later date.
