Edna Marguerite Miller, age 82, passed away peacefully on the morning of December 30, 2020 in Manteca, California after a long battle with Lewy Body Dementia and breast cancer. Edna was born in French Camp, and grew up on her family ranch in Lathrop; she was the youngest of five children. She is preceded in death by her parents Josephine and Edward Schobert and siblings; Robert Schobert, James Schobert, Patricia Silveira and Henrietta Dargitz. Edna’s first husband, Thomas Bishop was the father of her four daughters. She is preceded in death of her second husband George Luck with whom she traveled the world. Edna is survived by her third husband of 28 years Jim Miller. Edna is survived by her four daughters and son in-laws; Barbara and Lewis Thompson, Salida, Debbie and Henry Schmidt, Ripon, Karen and Mark Thompson, Ripon and Nancy Roberts of Jerome, Idaho. Grandchildren; Brandy and Alex Cuevas, Nampa, Idaho, Michelle and Gabriel Garcia, Lubbock, Texas, Steven and Savony Thompson,San Antonio, Texas, Travis and Christy Thompson, Newman, California; David and Corrina Thompson, Roseville, California, Katie and Tom Hilvers, Clarksville, Tennessee. Great-Grandchildren: Damian Cuevas, Elias Cuevas, Breanna Cuevas; Caden Garcia, Corlyn Garcia, Edie Garcia, Maevie Garcia; Jay Thompson, Ashton Thompson; Colton Thompson; Heilin Hilvers, Aven Hilvers, Steel Hilvers and McCoy Hilvers and Samantha Schmidt of Ripon, CA and Cassidy Roberts of Lewiston, Idaho

 

Edna was lucky to travel throughout her life from cruises to Alaska to flying to Australia. Edna retired from the State of California after 25+ years of service and moved to Mendocino, to live out her dream of living on the California coast where she enjoyed painting beautiful pictures, looking for shells on the beach and taking her dog Snookie on long walks.

 

We celebrate the life of Edna she was a faith filled, beautiful artist woman, mother, daughter and wife. “Momma is finally home resting peacefully in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ. “

 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions funeral service will be private.
