Guadalupe Joe Rios

Joe Rios passed away on February 11th, 2021 in Modesto at 65 years old. Joe was born on October 13th 1955 in Mexico and moved to Escalon at a young age where he was raised and graduated from Escalon High School in 1974. In 1979 Joe moved to Modesto and he lived there until his death. Throughout life, Joe was always known as a hard worker with fantastic work ethic at the many jobs he’s worked at through the years including Naraghi Farms, Klienfeld Farms and at G3 Enterprises where he worked for 15 years until his death. Joe was always affectionately known as “Uncle Joe” and was a very family-oriented man who loved cooking during the holidays and spoiling the kids whenever he had the chance. He had a big heart filled with generosity, kindness and love for all who knew him. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us, Uncle Joe. We’ll always love and miss you.

Joe is preceded in death by his parents Amado Rios and Librada Rios, his brother Miguel Fernandez Sr. and his nephew, Dante Fernandez. Joe leaves behind his sister, Paula Rios Blackmore (Brad Blackmore), his sister-in-law Esther Fernandez, his nieces Yolanda Fernandez, Mellissa Fernandez, Marisa Blackmore, Angelica Fernandez and Jessica Fernandez, his nephews Michael Fernandez Jr. (Toni Fernandez) Joe Fernandez and Nick Fernandez.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapel. A service and burial will be scheduled at a later date.
