Henrietta Vis

Henrietta Vis (nee’ Kramer) was called to eternal glory May 28, 2023. She was born in Sibley, Iowa September 27,1928 to the late George and Jennie (Hager) Kramer. She moved with her family to Bellflower, California in 1936 and to the Modesto area in 1945. She graduated from Ripon Christian High School in 1946 in their first graduating class. She married Fred Vis June 14, 1949 in the First Christian Reformed Church of Ripon. He predeceased her December 20, 1972.

She and Fred were charter members of the Escalon Christian Reformed Church. She was part of the Golden Hour Circle, worked in the church nursery for VBS and for Coffee Break. She also spent many years working in the church library and assisted in putting the monthly church newsletter together. She was a homemaker, almond rancher, and most important, a mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved reading, embroidery, flower gardening and visiting with her family.

Remembering her are her five children: Carol (David) Wynstra of Tinley Park, IL; Sharon (Jack) Vaandrager of Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada; Donald (Vancy) Vis of Escalon, CA; David (Mary) Vis of Sheboygan Falls, WI; and Wayne (Donna) Vis of Ripon, CA; 15 grandchildren and 36 great-

 grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Alice Kootstra and her brothers Jake Kramer and Ted(Theresa) Kramer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Her granddaughter Misty Bangham, sisters Jacoba Kramer, Sylvia Hannink, Tena Kramer, Josie Vander Plaats and brother John Kramer predeceased her.

A visitation for Henrietta is scheduled for Monday, June 5th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.  A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 6th at 10:00 AM at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon followed by a memorial service at 11 at Escalon Christian Reformed Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials to the Bethany Home Society, 930 W. Main St., Ripon, CA 95366 would be appreciated.
