Hubert Mohler

Hubert “Hub” Owen Mohler graduated from this life to his eternal home on July 9th. He was the second of four children born to Merle and Miriam(Wolf) Mohler on May 16, 1949 in Modesto, California. He grew up in Ripon on the family ranch and attended Ripon Elementary and Ripon High School. After high school, Hub worked with his family in farming. In 1971, Hub joined with his brother Merlin to form Mohler Brothers, starting their own business in agriculture. Mohler Brothers started out farming row crops, leveling, and ripping farmland. As the business grew, more equipment and more acres were added. Tree crops were added to the business in 2003 and the partnership continued 50+ years until Hub’s passing. Hub’s favorite aspects of the business were dozing, scraping, and harvesting blackeye beans. Hub’s hobbies and pastimes were spent building model airplanes and collecting vintage model trains. He also loved and enjoyed playing with dogs. Of most importance to Hub was his faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.  As Hub grew older, he grew in his walk with the Lord and became more confident about sharing his faith. As one of Hub’s friends noted, Hub can best be remembered by first, his love for Jesus, and second, his love for Caterpillar tractors. Hubert is survived by his brother Merlin(Barb) Mohler of Ripon; sister, Carol(Ron) David of Reno; two nephews, Timothy and Philip Mohler; and two nieces, Rebeccah and Mary Mohler.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Miriam, and younger brother, Donald. Friends and family members are invited to attend the viewing/visitation on Wednesday, July 21, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Deegan ~ Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 S. Palm Avenue, Ripon, CA. A graveside service will be on Thursday, July 22, 2021, at 9:00 am at the Wood Colony Cemetery, 3511 Dakota Avenue, Modesto. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am, located at Calvary Chapel Modesto, 4300 American Avenue, Modesto. Donations may be made in his honor to Samaritan’s Purse, P.O.
