Tribute

Jake Weststeyn passed away peacefully on May 15, 2020, surrounded by his family at his home at the age of 90.  Jake was born on November 17, 1929 in Abbenes, Netherlands to Eimbertus and Josina Weststeyn.  Jake has been a resident of Ripon since 1960.

Jake attended Calvary Reformed Church in Ripon for many years where he served as a Deacon and an Elder.  He served on the board of the Gospel Center Rescue Mission in Stockton and volunteered at the N.A. Jake was a farmer throughout his life and regularly wore his wooden shoes while maintaining the farm.  He loved his orchard and his family with his entire heart. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren.  Jake was the strongest, toughest, yet most gentle, humble man and will be remembered for his big hugs and warm smile.
