James John Winters

James John Winters passed away peacefully on February 8th, 2020 in Modesto at the age of 76.  Jim was born on March 12, 1943 to parents Jacob and Martha Winters in Ripon, California.  He has been a resident of Ripon his entire life. 

After graduating from Ripon High School, Jim enlisted in the US Army and proudly served in Vietnam.  After being discharged from the military, Jim came home to the central valley and worked as a farmer for the rest of his life.  On his off time, Jim loved watching NASCAR and being in the outdoors, fishing.

Jim leaves behind his sisters, Elaine Darden and Harriet Martinez and several nieces and nephews.  Jim is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Clarence Winters, Doris Fox, Henry Winters and Janet Dutton.

Deegan Funeral Chapels is honored to serve the Winters family.  A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 20th from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel followed by a chapel service on Friday, Feb 21st at 10:30 AM also at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.
