Janet Louise Spyksma

Janet Louise Spyksma, 80, entered into rest on January 9, 2018 in Modesto, California. She was born on March 7, 1937 to her parents Harry and Jesse Deurloo in Ripon, California. Janet leaves behind her loving children Duane Spyksma (Nanette) of Salida, Glenn Spyksma (Carla) of Ripon, Eugene Spyksma (Tina) of Yuba City, Charly Spyksma (Tina) of Modesto. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Duane Spyksma Jr. (Valerie), Dannette Posey, Michael Posey, Natasha Lynette Spyksma, Alex Christopher Spyksma, Maryka Elizabeth Becher (Andrew), Tessa Monique Spyksma, Calvin Pier Spyksma, Morgan Jessica Louise Spyksma, Hanna Renae Spyksma, and Pierce Keaton Spyksma. She will also be missed by her 14 great grandchildren, and her brother Cal Deurloo (Carol), niece and nephew.

Janet was a loving, hard working woman. She enjoyed crafts like making greeting cards, sewing and even collecting coupons. She also loved being outdoors. Before her husband passed away in 1996, they would travel and vacation together in their trailer. Janet cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She truly loved going to church and singing the church hymns with some of her closest friends. She will be loved and missed deeply.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018 from 5-6:30pm at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 South Palm Avenue in Ripon. A Graveside Service will held on Friday, January 26th at 10am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11am at Christ Community Church, 3242 Carver Road in Modesto.
