Jean Marie Brown

Jean Marie (Cherrier) Brown, 82, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2018 at Doctor’s Hospital Manteca.  She was born in North Bangor, NY, the daughter of Myrtle & Ira Cherrier.  She received her teaching degree from SUNY Potsdam and worked as an educator in Escalon for many years.  Jean returned to school at Stanislaus State to become an accountant and worked for Kalunian & Milliken in Modesto until her retirement.  She enjoyed reading and word games.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Peter K. Brown. She is survived by her children, George Pickering of Oakdale, Joanne (Michael) Piston of East Syracuse, NY and Steven Brown of Sutter Creek.  She is also survived by her siblings, Teresa Snyder, Beatrice Reardon, Ruth Elmer, Rosemary Cooper, Michael Cherrier, Patrick Cherrier and Joseph Cherrier; 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren. 

There will be a graveside service at Burwood Cemetery on Friday, November 16 at 2:30 PM.
