Johannes Bos

Johannes Bos, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday,  January 16, 2023.

John was born September 6, 1938 to Cornelius and Maria Magdalena Bos in Hazerswoude, Zuid Holland, Netherlands, the fourth of six sons.  After graduating from Landbouw School he served in the Dutch Army and after his service he married the love of his life Alie (Alice) Leenheer on December 15, 1959. In 1960 they immigrated to California. Four sons were born soon after: Abraham Paul (Leanne), Cornel John (Sandy) , Edward George (Linda) and John Allen (Brooke). In 1982, the family moved their dairy farm from southern California to Modesto. They were blessed with nine grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank John’s doctors,and nurses and staff at Memorial Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sierra Salem Christian Homes, Modesto, Ca. A Service of Joy and Celebration will be held on Saturday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m., at Modesto Christian Reformed Church.
