Kathleen Christina Tackett

Kathleen Christina Tackett of Modesto, Ca passed away peacefully at home with her loving sons by her side, at the age of 92. Born on January 22, 1931 in North Dakota to Albert and Minnie Knecht. The family moved to Riverbank when Kathleen was a small girl. Kathleen married Thomas in 1953 and they started their family shortly after. She worked for Pacific Bell as a phone operator for 12 years and Contadina as a Laboratory Technician for 30 years until the company closed in 1987. She enjoyed playing cards, baking bread and growing fruit and vegetables in her garden. She taught her children and grandchildren many life skills that they carry with them today. Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Thomas Tackett; sons, Gilbert Tackett, Greg Tackett and grandson, Brian Tackett. She is survived by her sons, Gary Tackett, Floyd Tackett, 8 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson. Services will be held at Deegan Funeral Chapel, 1441 San Joaquin St., Escalon, Ca 95320 on April 12, 2023 at 12:00 p.m. Kathleen will be laid to rest nest to her husband at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, Ca 95326.
