Keith Kornelis Olthof

Keith ‘Kees’ Kornelis Olthof passed away August 16, 2022 at the age of 94 at home in Ripon, CA with his family by his side.

Keith was born in Siddeburen, the Netherlands on May 1, 1928. As a child, Keith was always so clever and created some contraptions, such as an oilseed extractor to help survive the war.  After joining the Dutch Navy in 1946, he found his passion for airplanes and became an aircraft mechanic. Keith went to Toronto, Canada, and there met the love of his life of 61 years, Johanna (Anneke) van de Waal, from Breda, the Netherlands. In 1963, Keith and Anneke immigrated to California where Keith worked as an aircraft inspector with United Airlines until his retirement in 1991.

Keith is survived by his wife, Johanna, daughters Carolyn (Lon) and Jennifer (Philip), son David, grandchildren Michael (Heather), Matthew (Michelle), Casey (Bonnie), Jessica, Justin, Damien and Nicole, 13 great-grandchildren, and sister, Ge. Keith is reunited in death with his parents, two sisters, brother, and daughter Catherine (Kevin).

He has always proclaimed his love for God and we look forward to meeting again in heaven.

Services will begin Wednesday, August 24, 2022 with a graveside service at 10am at Ripon Cemetery and A memorial service and reception at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 517 Orange Ave, Ripon, CA 95366 beginning at 11am.
