Lawrence Edward Ennes

December 12, 2018

Tribute

Our father passed away peacefully in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 12, 2018 from Leukemia, at the age of 74, with family by his side. Larry was born on September 7, 1944 in Hayward, CA to parents June and Edward Ennes, but grew up in Newark. He is survived by his loving children Shari D’Anjou (Steve) of Livermore and Michael Ennes (Cathy) of Stockton. He was a loving step-father to Randy and John Alberta. Dearly loved by his sister Judy Story and brother Raymond Ennes. He was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Rebecca Roberts (Leo), James Ennes, Brandon, Michael, and Matthew D’Anjou and 4 great-granddaughters, Allison, Madison, Cheyann and Marissa Roberts. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and niece Trisha Ennes and her daughter Kishia. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, parents Ed and June, infant brother Edward Raymond Ennes, and niece Brenda Brouns.

Dad loved spending time with all of his family and friends here at our many family get-togethers and watching his grandchildren grow up. He loved spending summers at his vacation home in Checotah, Oklahoma on Lake Eufaula fishing and spending time with family and great friends there. He was the owner of Sonora Drywall. Larry was a very hard working man. He could build anything and was a member of the Carpenters Union. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, remodeling and building new spaces for family and friends. He was a master carpenter and loved cars, including his ‘64 Chevy Nova and ‘58 Corvette. Our Dad will be greatly missed.
