Lena Doyle

Lena Doyle, age 92, a long term resident of Escalon, passed away on Friday, March 16, 2018 in Sacramento.

Grave side services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 22nd at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Escalon.

Lena was born April 5, 1926 in Escalon, California to Francisco and Isabel Silveira.

Lena worked in her younger years for a country store in Simms Station and then grocery stores in Escalon before becoming a bookkeeper for several businesses.  Later she worked as an office worker for a logging company before obtaining her real estate license and working as an agent in the Escalon area.

She married Eugene James Biasca on December 9, 1956 who preceded her in death on March 6, 1964. Later Lena married Eugene V. Doyle who preceded her in death on June 6, 1997.

Lena is survived by her children, James, Pella (McCormick), and Rodger and three grandchildren, Kara Biasca, Paul Biasca, and Isabel McCormick and by her brother Frank Silveira.

Lena is preceded in death by her parents Franciso and Isabel, her siblings Angie Silveira Denison, Manuel Silveira, and Mary Silveira Sanchez Loumena.

Her family and friends cherish her time with us and the happiness and joy she brought to all she knew and met.  Her unending energy and compassion are and will always be a source of inspiration for all that knew her.

In lieu of flowers, Lena asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Eskaton Foundation.
