Lila Christine “Chris” Drennan

January 31, 1932 – April 14, 2021

Lila Christine “Chris” Drennan entered into rest April 14, 2021 in Sonora, CA, at the age of 89. Lila was born January 31, 1932 in Lindsey, Oklahoma to Oscar and Lila Green. However, at a young age Lila and her family moved from Oklahoma to Ripon, California. Lila, who most knew as “Chris”, spent her younger years exploring many states and especially loved experiencing the wonders of the National Parks. Chris settled in Lake County for 20 years until she moved to Forestville where she and life partner Ed Kochan spent the last 18 years. Chris was an avid outdoors woman who loved gold panning, beach combing and everything about nature. She was also well known for her excellence in sewing, being so accomplished that if she could imagine it, she could create it. 

Chris is survived by her children, Sandi Bird (Micky Davis) of Washington, Diana Fox (Lawton) of Copperopolis, Brenda Portor (Don) of Lake Port, and Anita Briley of Lodi; sister, Wanda Groebler of Hughson; grandchildren, Traci Mullin (Brain, Sr.) of Idaho, Frank Fox (Judy) of Copperopolis, Kellie Carson (Mike) of Oregon, Brianna Smith of San Rafael, David Porter of Lake Port, Megan and Nicky Reynon of Lodi. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.

Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to be serving the Drennan family. Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2021 with a viewing and Chapel Service at 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at 12:00 p.m. at Ripon Cemetery.
