Lori Ann Duncan

Lori passed away unexpectedly on October 23, 2020. Daughter of Lois Hoon and Cliff Duncan, Lori Ann Duncan grew up in Torrance, CA, with her older sister Sally and her younger brother Dan. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in public health at CSUN before moving to Escalon in 1998. She worked at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department for over 20 years as a Senior Registered Environmental Health Scientist. 

She was a fierce independent woman and mother who was full of love and care, who had intrinsic attention to detail that was made evident in her tatting, and her artistic masterpieces of cake and cupcake creations. When Lori wrapped a gift, it was picture perfect every time.

She loved hiking, skiing, exploring, Yosemite, bugs, flowers, cats, bluegrass, NPR, traveling everywhere, supporting community theatre, baking, Jeopardy, eclectic antiques, but most of all, her daughter Emma. 

She is survived by Sally and Dan, her niece Jessica and nephew Duncan, and her daughter Emma. We all miss her so much and are heartbroken by the loss.
