She married Lloyd Bowman on September 29, 1954. In 1957, after living in Kansas a couple of years, they moved to Modesto, California. They were married for 63 years and blessed with 3 children.
Mom was hospitable and enjoyed entertaining family and friends. She was an excellent cook and well known for her baking, especially her cinnamon rolls and donuts. She maintained a large vegetable garden which she shared freely with many. Mom was very gifted when it came to working with her hands. There were not many things needed that she could not make herself and she did it well!
In September of 1998, Mom contracted viral encephalitis which she never fully recovered from. Her loving husband faithfully cared for her until they moved to Valley Comfort Assisted living in March of 2017.
