Marie Louise Zwakenberg

Marie Louise Zwakenberg was born on 2 March, 1929 to the late Conrad and Edna Levin in Madrid, Iowa. She passed away on 27 November, 2022 in Penryn, California. 

Louise moved from Iowa to Ripon, California while a young child. She played the clarinet in the band while attending Ripon High School.  Louise married Cornelius Zwakenberg on June 16, 1948. After living a few years in Paradise, California, they settled in Palo Alto to raise their children, Albin Wayne, Herman Ralph, and Corlene Marie. Louise worked at Eastman Kodak while raising their family.  Being a huge fan of the Stanford football team, she enjoyed attending games with her friends.  In 1978, Cory and Louise returned to Ripon. They became active in the community and enjoyed their many long-time friends and family members. 

Louise was dedicated to God and her family. 
She loved hosting family holidays and opened her house to friends and family during Almond Blossom Festivals, creating fond memories for many. She was very proud of her six grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Louise loved to read, crochet and volunteer at Bethany Home. While at Bethany home, she enjoyed old friendships and made new dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cory. Also, her older brother, Ben Levin and her younger brother, Ed Levin.
