Mary Elizabeth Nepote passed away peacefully at her home in Ripon, California at the age of 95, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Mary Elizabeth Tune on May 17, 1926 in Woodward, Oklahoma. She has been a resident of Ripon, California for the last 78 years.

Mary was a homemaker and a farmer’s wife, working side by side with her husband, Leo Nepote. She was a loving mother to her three children, and grandmother to many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Mary was also a great cook, and catered many weddings and dinners with her late sister, Louise Cardoza. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary is preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Leo Nepote. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Claudia) Nepote of Ripon, Constance Nepote of Ripon, and Steven (Joyce) Nepote of Ripon; grandchildren, Laura Gillespie, Michael Nepote, Audra Nepote, Jamie Nepote, Mark Duxbury, Keith Duxbury, Alan Bartels, Alicia Nepote, Tisha Nepote, and Steven Nepote, as well as 19 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren; and siblings, Annabelle Martin of Escalon, Irene Butler of Escalon, and sister-in-law, Doris Tune of Twain Harte.

Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Nepote family. A graveside service will be held to celebrate her life at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, California on Friday June 18, 2021 at 10:00AM. Donations in Mary’s honor can be made to the Ripon Fire Department.
