Michael Lincoln Luis

December 1, 1962 ~ February 8, 2024 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Michael Lincoln Luis, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Ripon on February 8, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Mike was born on December 1, 1962 in Manteca, California and has been a life long resident of Ripon. He attended and graduated from Ripon Elementary and Ripon High School where he excelled in sports and was an officer in the FFA.
Mike was a true die-hard Raiders fan. He loved spending his time camping and fishing, especially in Pine Crest and loved his Rotten Apple guys. He enjoyed farming and would spend countless hours farming almonds on his family’s ranch. He was known by many as Coach Mike for all the many sporting activities he coached for his children as they were growing up. Mike will be remembered as a quiet but strong man, incredibly faithful and loyal not only to his family, but also his friends and his distinct ability to make friends anywhere he went. He truly never knew a stranger.
Mike leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Shawn Luis, his mother, Darlene Luis and his children, Jayna Alvizo (Edgar), John Luis (Jennifer), Megan Barbour, Jimmy Barbour (Kayla) and Patrick Li-Barbour (Laura) along with his grandchildren, Katie, Justin, Allie, Dani, Kennadi, Jaydan, Isaac, Lexi and Kyan and his great grandson, Isaiah. Mike also leaves behind his brother, Marty Luis (Karen) and his brother-in-law, Patrick Ridpath (Pam). Mike is preceded in death by his father, Frank Luis.
