Nilo Cabilan passed away surrounded by his family on July 30, 2019 in French Camp, CA at the age of 71. Nilo was born on June 30, 1948 in Cebu, Philippines to Alberto and Martina Cabilan. Nilo has been a resident of Manteca for the past 7 years.
Nilo was a mechanical engineer in the Philippines, and moved to the states in 1984 later becoming a computer engineer. He was a good drinking buddy to his kids, making him not just a great father, but a friend. Nilo was adventurous and had a love for travel. In retirement, he had an amazing garden where he grew and ate his own fruits and vegetables and tended to his chickens. He will be missed for his many jokes, intellect, and adoration for his family (and chickens!).
Nilo leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Cecilia Lebumfacil, his children, Melanie Marciano, Maricel Pathammavong, Lilace Snyder and Claire Cabilan, his grandchildren, Monique Marciano, Mason Pathammavong, Brookyln Snyder, Mia Marciano, Siena Pathammavong, Madilyn Snyder and Evelyn Snyder. Nilo also leaves behind his siblings, Ferdinand Cabilan, Flordicante Cabilan and Pompeyo Cabilan. Nilo is preceded in death by his brother, Alberto Cabilan Jr.
Visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 2 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, followed by the rosary at 10:30 AM and funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Donations in Nilo’s memory may be made to St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca.
