Patricia Rose Qualls

Patricia “Pat” Qualls entered into the kingdom of heaven August 18, 2021. Pat was born July 22, 1956, in Santa Monica, California to Lois and Robert Burk. Patricia was the second of three children. She lived on the coast of southern California into early adulthood when she and husband, Loran, began moving north until they settled in Ripon, California. Pat and Loran made their home and raised their children in Ripon, including three foster children. Pat and Loran later moved to Escalon where they spent the remainder of their lives. Pat loved the Central Valley, but always missed the southern California beaches.

Pat was passionate about her career as an RN, she spent most of her career with Bethany Home in Ripon where she felt honored to serve the elderly in a Christian environment where she was known as a friendly and straight-forward nurse who always wanted what was best for her patients. Pat’s career serving the elderly was her calling in this life; her love and relationship with her husband was her passion. Pat loved to sew, work on needle crafts, read and complete home improvement projects with her husband. She loved her family unconditionally, including her foster children.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Loran; her parents, Lois and Robert Burk Jr.; brother, Robert Burk III; and sister Michele Burk. 

Pat is survived by her children, Robert (Jennifer Jones) Qualls of Los Banos; and Anastasia “Stacye” (Justin) Qualls-Pope of Escalon; and granddaughter Lauren Qualls of Los Banos.

An open-house style celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 5 from noon – 4pm at the home of Stacye and Justin at 465 1st Street in Escalon. Anyone wishing to pay their respects is welcome to attend. Pat will be laid to rest with her husband in a private ceremony at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon.
