Pearl Dorrepaal

Pearl Weststeyn Dorrepaal was born in Sioux City, Iowa, she was the third of thirteen siblings.  Shortly after she was born, her family returned to the Netherlands where she was raised.  In 1948, the family returned to America, this time settling in the Ripon area.  She subsequently met Gerrit Dorrepaal and on March 15th, 1957, they were married.

While Pearl had studied, and became an RN, she spent her life raising a family and helping out on the dairy, and later, on the almond farm.

Pearl is survived by her daughters Lisa Dorrepaal, Julia Dorrepaal and Lynne Newton of Ripon and son Gerrit (Lori) Dorrepaal of Turlock. Granddaughters Christy, Ashley, and Katie Newton, Reese Dorrepaal and Grandson Nick Dorrepaal.  She also has one great-grandson, Ethan Newton.

She also leaves behind siblings Pete(Freida) Weststeyn of Chino, Jake (Betsy) Weststeyn of Ripon, Wilma Van de Pol of Escalon, and Margaret (Les) Eastburg of Ripon

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerrit Dorrepaal, eldest son, Terry Dorrepaal, parents Eimbertus and Josina, as well as siblings Annie Den Butter, Joe Weststeyn, John Weststeyn, Simon Weststeyn, Bastian Weststeyn, Elizabeth Van Klaveren, Helena Van Klaveren, and Gerard Weststeyn

Viewing will be on Wednesday, May 10th from 4:30-7 at Deegan Funeral Chapel in Ripon. Memorial service to be held at Calvary Reformed Church at 2nd and Vera at 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 11th. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ripon Christian Schools, 435 N Maple St. Ripon, CA 95366.
