Robert Duane Spurgeon II

Robert “Butch” Duane Spurgeon II passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on February 15, 2018 in Modesto at the age of 52.  Robert was born on July 7, 1965 in Modesto to Louise and Robert Spurgeon.  He has been a lifelong resident of Escalon.

Robert had many passions in life but his latest joy was wood working.  He would create such beautiful pieces and had such a talent for detail.  He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.

Robert leaves behind his wife, Veronica Morin, his mother, Louise Spurgeon, his children, Sarah Dawn Spurgeon and Robert Duane Spurgeon III along with his grandson, Dalton Spurgeon.  Robert also leaves behind his siblings, Matthew Spurgeon (Tammie), Patrick Spurgeon (Cris) and Jessica DeShane (Gary) along with several nieces and nephews.  Robert is preceded in death by his father.
