Robert “Bob” Leroy Haver passed away peacefully at home on May 29, 2020 at the age of 80 with his loving family by his side. Robert was born April 14, 1940 to Roland and Amy Agnes Haver in Logan, Oklahoma, and at the age of 3, the family moved to Redding, Ca. Shortly after, the family moved to Tracy and then Manteca to follow his father’s job with the railroad. Robert graduated from Manteca High School in 1958, which is also the year he met the love of his life, Ellen. Robert’s interest in classic cars, led him to enroll at Modesto Junior College. He graduated in 1960 with his Associates Degree and became an Auto Body Technician. On December 31, 1960, Robert married Ellen and they began beautiful life together. This life led them to Fremont, California for Robert’s career and then back to Escalon, California where they built their home. Robert enjoyed restoring classic cars, fishing and hunting.
Robert is survived by his loving wife, Ellen, of 59 years; daughter Ronda and son-in-law Jeffrey of Clovis, his son, Ron of Riverbank, and his grandchildren, Cameron of Big Fork, Montana, Kyle of Escalon, Mickenzie of Clovis and Jordan of Riverbank. Robert is preceded in death by his parents and sisters Loretta and Anita.
A private burial was held at Burwood Cemetery. The family will have a get together at a later date to share the love and fond memories they have of Robert. In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to be made to Alzheimer’s Association or Asera Care Hospice of Stockton.
