Viola Anice McDaniel

Viola Anice McDaniel passed away peacefully at her home on July 2, 2019 at the age of 78.  Viola was born on August 30, 1940 in Stockton, CA to Robert Lee and Lora McCracken.  Viola grew up in Manteca and later moved to Ripon with her husband Bill.  She has been a resident of Ripon for the past 45 years.

Viola started working for the Contel Telephone Company when she was 15 years old as an operator.  She would continue to work there for 47 years in marketing and customer service until she retired in 2003.  She enjoyed reading, painting and shopping and running a muck with her girls in Disneyland.  Above all else, Viola will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family more than anything else.

Viola leaves behind her daughters, Lora Tipton and Mary Rankin, her grandchildren, Carley Tipton and Rob Rankin and her great grandson, Rory Arends.  Viola is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Bill McDaniel.

Deegan Chapel is honored to serve the McDaniel family.  A chapel service is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10 at 9:00 AM at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel.
