Wanda Helene Bruns

Wanda was born in Cawker City, Kansas, the oldest child of Ben and Ada (Eggink) Dengerink. The family moved to Ripon, California in 1940, leaving the Dust Bowl behind. In 1946, Wanda married Albert Bruns and moved to South Dakota, returning to Ripon in 1952. They farmed in rural Ripon until his passing in 2015.

Wanda is survived by her children: Elton Bruns (Cheryl), Karen Shanahan (Richard), Wayne Bruns (Carol), Dale Bruns (Terry), all of Ripon, Charlene Banta (Rick d.) of Joshua Tree, Daryl Bruns (Julie) of Visalia, Phyllis Spriggs (Bill) of Merced, Ardette Fassler (Will) of Manteca, and Mervin Bruns (Stephanie) of Escalon; twenty grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and her sister Carol Hand.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 27th at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 South Palm Avenue in Ripon from 5:30pm-7pm. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 29th at Calvary Reformed Church, 741 West 2nd Street in Ripon at 11am.
