Marines A. De Weerd

Marines De Weerd, 81, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Valley Comfort in Modesto. He was born on January 22, 1936 to his parents Edward and Henrietta De Weerd in Hills, Minnesota. Marines was a Ripon resident for over 75 tears and worked as a truck driver for 54 years. He loved camping, fishing and spending time with his family.

Marines is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Corene De Weerd, his son Gary De Weerd, parents Ed De Weerd and Henrietta hauschildt and his sister Gertrude Huisman. He is survived by his children Brenda Orlando of Ripon, Ed De Weerd of Modesto, Jon De Weerd and Jeff De Weerd of Turlock and brother John De Weerd of Napa. Marines will also be missed by his 11 treasured grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 9-11am, followed by a Chapel Service at 11am at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel, 111 South Palm Avenue in Ripon. He will be laid to rest at Ripon Cemetery following the services. Remembrances may be made to Valley Comfort of Modesto or the VFW of Ripon.
