Jimmie Ray Harris

Jimmie Ray Harris passed away peacefully on March 20, 2017 in Modesto at the age of 67.  Jimmie was born on November 18, 1949 in Flomaton, Alabama to Noah and Ollie Harris.  He has been a resident of Escalon for the past 44 years. 

Jimmie drove truck for 44 years before retiring.  He was so grateful to be able to spend more time with his family that he was so proud of.  He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and watching old western movies, but above all else, Jimmie loved spending time with his family.  He will be missed more than he could ever have imagined.

Jimmie leaves behind his beloved wife of 43 years, Karen Harris, his children: Rusty Harris, Timothy Harris (Rhonda), Steven Harris (Tara Chapman), Shawn Harris (Lindsay) and Shayla Fowler (Cody), along with 15 grandkids, 14 great grandkids, an extended family and many friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Deegan Funeral Chapels.  A funeral service is scheduled for Monday, March 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Escalon United Methodist Church, with interment to follow at Burwood Cemetery.  Donations in Jimmie’s memory may be made to the Escalon Ambulance.
